Production of acoustic felts
The Epoxy Polyester 2000 resin bonded textile felts can be used as acoustic insulation materials both in the automotive industry as in the white industry for household appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, etc.
Examples of acoustic insulation parts in the automotive industry are hood insulation, dashboard insulation, wheel arch, headliners, parcel shelves, seatback nonwovens, floor felts, floor carpets, door panels, luggage carpets and luggage felts.
The final properties of the resin bonded felt, such as the mechanical strength and stiffness, the damping behavior as well as the environmental impact, are determined by the type of EP 2000 resin used, as well as the composition of the felt and often the processing parameters during the manufacturing process.
